Why did I choose my major?

 Hi Bloggers, I hope you’re well. When I was a child I dreamed of being a vet. My parents had  a lot of animals and I loved them,  I wanted to take care of them so that they were always safe. My dream of being a veterinarian changed over time and I longed to be a doctor. Finally I didn't do one of the two and I started to study Civil Engineering in Biotechnology in 2020, although it was not what I expected because of the pandemic. It wasn't my dream and I wasn't really being happy, so I decided to leave the degree in 2022 and prepare to take the PAES and be able to enter the psychology degree this year. Spoiler, I did it!! I’m here now. 

I’m very happy studying psychology, although it's exhausting. You have yo read a lot, but I know it will be worth it. My dream is to help many children in the future to have good childhoods so that they can later become happy adults, I hope to achieve it.

Who Am I?

  Hi Bloggers! My name is Amber Tatiana Gutiérrez and today I talk with me and my life. I was born in Santiago on October 28th, my zodiacal sign is Scorpion (It's not as terrible as it sounds). I was in 6 schools between my childhood and adolescence, Today I'm studying psychology at Universidad de Chile, but this isn’t my first university. In 2020 I went to study Biotechnology  engineering at Universidad de Santiago, but I don’t like this.   I lived all my life in San José de Maipo, but know I live in Puente Alto with my mother. I have two brothers whom I love with all my heart, I’m the youngest and the spoiled one, I love it!  In my free time I love yo sleep since I study and work and it's very tiring, but I have some hobbies such as reading, spending time with my boyfriend and going to the stadium. My favorite soccer team is Colo-Colo and that has led me to travel around Chile and the world, it's something that fills my heart.

My favourite piece of technology

Hi Blogers, today I'm going to talk to you about my unmissable piece of technology, this is my cell phone! I can’t imagine my life without him and I hate that because I don’t like the technology. I have had a cell phone since I was a child and I got used to always having it in my hands. Social networks are my best friends and worse at the same time. Most of the time I'm unfocused on the cell phone, but it always keeps me connected with the ones I love and that's my favorite part. Undoubtedly, this device opens up a world of possibilities and can have a lot of benefit in our lives, but we must all occupy it responsibly.  In conclusion, I have a love-hate relationship with my cell phone, I couldn't live without it but I would prefer not to use technology if I could choose.

Margaret Floy Washburn

 Hi Blogger! Today I’m going to talk about one person I admire very much is Margaret Floy Washburn. She was born on July 25, 1871 in New York. Her family had no major economic problems and had a good situation, but they traveled a lot from city to city which made him have problems adapting to some of them. After leaving school, she decided to study psychology at Columbia University and was the first woman to obtain a doctoral degree in psychology. She also became president of the APA (American Psychological Association) in 1921, she was the second woman to achieve it. A great milestone for history and a pride for all women! I admire her for being a struggling woman and despite the adversities that arose in her time to study psychology she achieved it and was an influential and important woman. I hope one day to have such important achievements as Margaret's, be influential in the world of psychology and show that women are capable of everything!
